The area around North Carolina's capital building is good for a few things. For those into it, the site is a treasure trove for Ingress players. For me, it's a challenge that wants to be photographed, but in unique ways or at special angles. And as photographed as it is, capturing it in a new way is difficult.
This is an infrared photograph I took. I only got a few exposures in before another photographer injected herself into the scene. I asked if she could wait for a bit before shooting the family she was with, but she was having none of it. I packed up and left, and was pleased to discover that at least one of my prior shots had been properly exposed.
This was great, as I was still new to shooting with the infrared camera. I didn't know what to expect from it, as I'd never shot infrared in my life. I didn't even know I'd ever get to use an actual infrared converted camera. Despite all that, I am really happy with the way this particular shot came out.
