JC Raulston Arboretum's White Garden is normally green and white. The white comes from plants with white blooms and leaves, giving it an ethereal presence at the right time of year. At the wrong time of year, it looks like a bunch of trees and bushes. At the weird time of year... You get ice, snow, and a kind of purity that only the cold embrace of ice brings. Not a lively purity, but one of waiting for an end to the winter. This was shot after a snow storm on an infrared Canon camera.
