In most cases, this little inlet would provide people a way to access the beach. However, the mornings at Folly Beach bring with them high tides that wash all the way onto the access ramp and stairs. I didn't have the footwear to take photos from within the water itself, but found a good vantage point nonetheless.
I tried to find out what kind of flower this is. I hunted high and low, and even went back to the arboretum, but so far, I've had no luck in identification. So far as I can tell, it is some type of hybrid species. Still, I like the flower, its looks, and am really happy with the results of processing the photograph! This is possibly my last published image of 2015, so I hope you like it!
I captured this while out on the town. The ambience of the bar made it difficult to capture moving images, but shot this on the bar counter while the owner of the drink was distracted. The Foundation is a small, cozy little place underneath Fayetteville Street in downtown, Raleigh.
