Mudcrabs are a common bait for people fishing off the NC coasts for Sheepshead. However, they are also feisty little guys. They have to be caught by hand for use, and are very strong with sharp claws. It certainly doesn't help that they like hiding under sharp rocks to keep away from predators.
I had the opportunity to stay at a friend's beach house this summer. The view during sunset was absolutely spectacular, with the sun setting across a wide marshy body of water, and an evening thunderstorm following it up.
