I saw this gorgeous pile of paint tubes in the window for an art gallery while walking through Charleston. The display was organized with used blue tubes in the front, red behind those, and a third row behind that. The pile of tubes, with its mix of corroded and brand new color, caught my eye.
In most cases, this little inlet would provide people a way to access the beach. However, the mornings at Folly Beach bring with them high tides that wash all the way onto the access ramp and stairs. I didn't have the footwear to take photos from within the water itself, but found a good vantage point nonetheless.
I tried to find out what kind of flower this is. I hunted high and low, and even went back to the arboretum, but so far, I've had no luck in identification. So far as I can tell, it is some type of hybrid species. Still, I like the flower, its looks, and am really happy with the results of processing the photograph! This is possibly my last published image of 2015, so I hope you like it!
