Another shot I really liked from renting that Canon 5Dm2. Male Mallards tend to look better in vivid color, showing off their green plumage. Females tend to have tons of smaller details, with tiny intricate patterns in their feathers. I had a lot of pictures that were backlit, and the setting sun offset that by providing reflections to light up the foreground. While this really made some of the shots look weird, it gave this duck a really great, portrait-like light.
