I live with chronic depression and anxiety. I hesitate to use the term "suffer" at all times, because life is, overall, good. There was a time in my life when I would describe it as suffering, and it severely infringed on my work. That was a time when I also needed the help of medication to recover, to learn to love myself, and to love my photography again. Climbing up into the snowy mountains on this day, all of that was far away. All I could do was be taken in by the awe and splendor that was the Rockies in the snow. Other than the sounds of other hikers, it was quiet and still, and absolutely serene. And a little wet, I'll admit, when I fell.
