Untitled 05

I don't leave photographs without a title out of laziness. Its more that I can't always think of a phrase to summarize the picture. In this case, its just a dragonfly. I had an adventure of sorts taking this one. Had a run-in with some aggressive geese. They pushed between me and the land (I was on a mini-peninsula) and began hissing at me. Knowing that what I was about to do was either stupid or really stupid, I hissed back. Luckily, they looked at me, honked, hissed again, and backed off. I took a lot of shots of dragonflies that day, because I have the worst luck with fringing and image fuzziness in macro shots. This is one that I really thought came out well. I processed it carefully, as it had several overexposed areas. After drawing down the highlights, I went over the fly itself with a high pass filter, tweaking it carefully to draw out maximum details.
